On-Site Installation Procedure for Cylindrical Rubber Fender

1. Pre-installation Preparation Check fender appearance, dimension and rubber quality. Inspect all matching accessories including anchor bolts, steel mounting chains, shackles and connecting plates. Verify reserved mounting base points on the quay wall to ensure position and load capacity meet design drawings.

2. Lifting and Positioning Use cranes and lifting slings to hoist the CY1500 cylindrical fender, slowly move the fender into the installation position alongside the dock face. Workers adjust height and horizontal alignment to match preset anchor hole positions.

3. Fixing with Mounting Chain & Anchoring System Thread heavyduty galvanized steel chains through the central hollow bore of the cylindrical fender. Connect chains to embedded anchor points on the quay via shackles. Adjust chain tension properly to keep the fender closely against the dock surface while preserving certain buffer mobility when impacted.

Note: Do not over-tighten chains. Moderate slack allows the rubber fender to deform freely under vessel collision to realise energy absorption.

1. Inspection & Commissioning after Installation Doublecheck all shackles, chain connections and anchor fasteners for firmness. Carry out visual inspection to confirm the fender can compress and rebound without obstruction. Record installation status for port-side acceptance hand-over.
