Our marine equipment manufacturing base finished packaging and shipment of a batch of 350KN single bollard mooring bollards, ready for delivery to overseas terminal construction projects. Mooring bollards are core shore-based marine hardware that guarantee safe vessel berthing and mooring operations at ports, wharves and offshore terminals worldwide.
When ships arrive alongside quays, mooring ropes are fixed onto mooring bollards.
· Bear horizontal tension from ship mooring lines, resist external forces including wind, wave and current loads;
· Stabilize vessel position during loading, unloading and bunkering;
· Prevent vessel drift, collision with berth structures and adjacent ships;
· Serve as fundamental safety infrastructure for container terminals, bulk cargo wharves, ro-ro terminals, fishing harbours and offshore supply berths.
Mooring bollards are customized according to designed working load, site environment and vessel tonnage.
Typical specification series: 50KN, 150KN, 250KN, 350KN, 500KN, 650KN, 800KN, 1000KN, 1250KN, 1500KN, 2000KN and above. The batch in this shipment is 350KN single bollard, widely used for medium-sized cargo ships, barges and coastal vessels.
1. Cast Steel Bollards (QT400/QT450 Ductile Iron / Cast Carbon Steel) Most mainstream choice for international ports. High tensile strength, strong impact resistance, good fatigue resistance under repeated alternating tension; uniform casting structure, less risk of crack under heavy load. Surface coated with marine anti-corrosion yellow epoxy paint to resist seawater splash, salt fog and marine atmospheric corrosion.
2. Welded Steel Plate Bollards Suitable for temporary docks and low-load projects. Flexible dimension adjustment, shorter production cycle, generally lower cost; fatigue performance inferior to cast bollards for long-term heavy-duty continuous use.
Under the same load rating: Cast steel bollards have standardized weight according to international design standards. Higher designed working load → thicker base flange, thicker column body, larger anchoring bolt holes, significantly increased self-weight. Heavier self-weight and wider flange improve load distribution on concrete foundation, avoid local stress concentration of dock foundation under huge pulling force.
Our mooring bollards are exported to Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa, South America and European coastal ports, applied to diversified scenarios: Container deep-water terminals
Bulk grain, coal and ore berths
Ro-ro passenger & vehicle terminals
Oil & chemical product wharves
Fishing ports and yacht marinas
Offshore platform auxiliary berths
Inland river navigation terminals
Products comply with international port design specifications. We support third-party inspection and witness test before shipment. Custom drawing service is available for special foundation size, load capacity and anti-corrosion coating requirements to match local port authority standards in different countries.
